Not your place to make judgment on whether you hurt him or not. My mother suffers from whiplash and her injury occurred near your incidents speed. This is what happens when you drive poorly, no kind way to put it man. _________________

It's not uncommon for whiplash symptoms to show days after an incident. _________________ 92 Camaro

i was gonna say the same thing. thats why it sucks to "refuse medical attention" at the scene... i have heard of it being used against you if you make any attempts at an injury claim later.
not that it applies here, but if you refuse an ambulance ride to the hospital after one is called for you (even if you don't call), and choose instead to get a ride from a friend to the ER that is also "refusing medical". my dad got hit by a guy once and they put him down as "refusing medical" because he had my mom drive him to the ER, she BEAT the ambulance to the scene. (he got hit a few blocks from home). the other drivers insurance company tried to use this as leverage not to pay my dads ER bill. my memory of this is a bit fuzzy, i was 12 or younger when it occurred. As far as a loved one driving a Fiero, have at it. I drove several models of this firebird replacement in the mid 80's and never felt unsafe. Even the V6 GT's with a 5 Speed manual were never able to break the tires loose. They were the 1980's corvair. Some people in the media never got over the origenal. |

I agree Dylan. My brother got hit in tacoma while sitting in traffic and a taxi cab driver rear ended him and he felt fine the first couple days. After that he had to miss work and go to physical thearapy for like two months. He still has a neck problem. I'm sorry steel I don't see how you can complain at all when you were in the wrong. _________________ Thirdgenless |

This is your time to be humble Steel. Period.
You busted up two cars that weren't yours. You're lucky no one was seriously injured from the get go.
Saturns are very very decent commuter cars.
Police SHOULD be summoned to every accident scene. You might look back at this when it's over and thank the Policeman. His report might just save your butt.
Keep your head cool and just deal with it in an MRA manor. |

i understand where he is coming from. even if i was in the same situation (knocking on a shitload of wood right now) i would need to vent the frustration somewhere. getting a raw deal sucks, but what sucks even worse is a bad situation when you know it was your own fault. it helps to have a few friends who will not continually remind you that you screwed up and brought this on yourself, but rather listen and say stuff like, "yeah, what an asshole" because they know thats what you need to hear, even if they don't fully agree.
Steel, people are always trying to get something for nothing, and faking "neck pain" after a car injury is a very common type of fraud, and so easy to do. necks and backs are a complicated area. even good back and neck doctors don't know everything about these parts of our anatomy. so you could easily fool a not so good neck doctor, and cash in from court. the worst part is most people don't realize what this will do to the individual who (while at fault) accidentally hit them, they just think "F the insurance company", and go get that doctors bill.
baseless lawsuits are on of my pet peeves. i had a neighbor when i lived in a rent controlled apartment, who in addition to being one of the most annoying women i ever met, made a living off of "slip and fall" lawsuits. she would get settlements to pay for the years of physical therapy required to fix all of her "back problems" that resulted from falling down in the supermarket.... every few years. she would also sell shizzle that people left behind when they moved. i am not joking, the apartment management had her go in and clean out all the stuff before they "turned" the apartment, her payment was keeping anything she liked. that lady was weird..
wow.. so off topic much?
....anyway all that said, i would not jump right to the conclusion that this guy is faking. he probably is not.

The guy who was driving his daddy's car isnt the one that was being a dick. His wife is the one that was trying to extort me from the beginning. The incident happened at low speed, I had two passengers in the the car, one of which (I didn't relies this at the time) wasn't wearing his seat belt, and all three of us were perfectly fine.
I know what ya'll are thinking, "You were most likely braced for impact" and that is true, but these two tried to make me sign a statement that basically said I barelled into them at full throttle. I said I wouldn't sign it, and they called the police. In their "Statement" it even said they saw me coming in the mirror. Either they are lieing some ware in there, or they were just as braced as the people in my car.
Its like tony said, i know i screwed up. Honestly, i wish it was the camaro, my car, in my name. Then i wouldn't feel as guilty. It would be all on me, instead of having to go through mom and dad's insurance. |

I totally agree Paul. I'm sorry but i have no sympathy for someone who go's on here and starts complaining how they hit someone and then cops a attitude when they hear the other person was actually injured. You know what would have solved this problem? Pay more attention. _________________ Thirdgenless |

Exactly. You may hate what we think of your mistake, but YOU posted on here and what? Hoped we would all pat you on the back for having a bad day while rear ending someone?
I have family who live every day with whiplash and other injuries, and they all had a hard time getting their due from the insurance company anyways. Blaming you is the easy part for the other driver, living with their problem is a life time of pain I wouldn't wish on anyone.
These kind of issues and how you deal with them is the line between men and boys. _________________

Yes i fucked up, yes im a horrible person, what ever. I was trying to do what I could to fix the situation. That night i felt so bad so f***ing up mom's car, in addition to all the other shizzle in my life, i came withing an inch of ending my own life.
This is nothing new for me. then three days later i am on the bike and some ass hole in a pick up crossed half way into my lane while i was turning. I went down at 60 or so, and suposedly im lucky to be alive. I bet ya'll are going to try and say that was my fault to.
Now i dont ever even have to look to know what ya'll responsices will be. "Oh look, another overdramatic teenager"

What? Why would we say that? What we are t
alking about was your fault. I hate to say it dude but now your going a little over board with it. Stop your complaining and get on with your life. Stuff happens and its all about how you deal and handle it that makes it worse or better. I totally agree with Dylan. Hope the rest of your day gets better. _________________ Thirdgenless |
