hey guys-
i need to replace the fuel lines on my 89 t/a 5.7 tpi 350.
the previous owners did a terrible job replacing them, and i'd like to do them right. i just need the parts (send & return) for under the hood. i see they connect near the base of the driver's fender, go around the alternator, curve down, and connect in the front of the fuel system of the tpi. they're about 3 1/2' a piece or so. i've seen lots of cars with hose as rails and i'd like to do all metal pipe. i went to a place online that sold them (i can't remember the name right now) but they were $100 each!!
can anybody point me in the right direction? _________________ we all gotta start somewhere.... |

You need to have atleast a short section of hose for motor wiggle.
As for the upper/motor section, I think you have to replace the whole fuel rail? And body you have to replace from engine bay to fuel filter(need to replace mine, ugh). |

I got my metal brake lines for my rear axle at www.inlinetube.com , they also do fuel lines & transmission lines. A little on the pricey side, but the fit was exact. _________________ 92 Camaro

| Not sure exactly what you need here. From the factory there is about 12"+ of Rubber from the frame rail to where they connect behind the A/C:Power Steering Pump. |

i'm looking for both lines that connect at the bottom of the driver's side fender, all the way up to where they connect in front of the tpi unit.
Al Hasse- can you send me or post some pics of what yours look like?
i've been cautious about inlinetube because of the price ($200) and they don't have any pics.
i emailed them to get some questions answered, and they were a bunch of jerks. _________________ we all gotta start somewhere.... |

| You want pics of the brakre line? That's what I got from Inline Tube. I called them to get just the two lines for the axle instead of the whole kit for the car. |

oh, nevermind then.
i found some fuel ones at tpiparts, but i need to talk with my mechanic to see if they'd work. they don't look right and the description doesn't seem right. the way my car is now, there isn't a rubber hose...at least i don't think there is. but i'll call and ask him first before i buy them. _________________ we all gotta start somewhere.... |
