Took the old girl for a drive last week and it was literally two hands on the wheel almost the whole way, she was just diving from one line to the other. It always drives like crap, but this was almost spooky. Hell, I've driven a 65 year old army truck on the highway that was more fun than this thing has gotten.
A little inspection found a couple shot ball joints. Since I was that far I pulled the springs and cut a half coil on the front and rears. Drives much, much better now and the new stance is pretty sweet. Over all I'm pretty happy with her again. I'll grab some picture when I wash it again, as she is pretty dirty right now. |

Cool Rodney Now I can't wait to get mine on the ground again with new brakes and steering components going on and 1/2 coil coming off the springs _________________ 92 Camaro

Do you guys have flat roads there? Mine has almost all brand new suspension and wonders the road. Same with every car I drive. Damn crappy roads
But yes, after I replaced all that stuff, what a wonder it was on the roads. Smoother drive, better handling.. almost like a new car!! |

My 87 feels like it's on rails. New ball joins, tie rod ends, bushings, struts...
It's almost worth being the money pit it has become. _________________ "Are you guys ready? Let's roll."
