Ok Crewbies. We had a good turnout with 10 crew cars going on the dyno and no carnage!

I am posting the results based on notes that I took during the day. If I have made any errors feel free to let me know. These are the peak horsepower and torque numbers which never tell the real story. Folks that were at the dyno feel free to post up your graphs, average hp, lessons learned, etc. if you like.

On with the show - all numbers are SAE corrected:

Tim (305 302eater) 203 hp / 264 ft lbs - 5.0 TPI

Al (Al Hasse) 154 hp / 227 ft lbs - 5.0 TBI

Rod (rjmcgee) 291 hp / 315 ft lbs - 5.7 Carb

Ian (iansane) 235 hp / 256 ft lbs - 5.0 Stealth Ram

Jake (83Z28BlackBetty) 140 hp / 193 ft lbs - 5.7 Carb

John (Dewey316) 218 hp / 253 ft lbs n/a, 287 hp / 400 ft lbs nitrous - 5.0 TBI (w/230k miles!)

Paul (Twilightoptics) 330 hp / 350 ft lbs - 5.7 Stealth Ram

Mike (Schultzy89GTA) 395 hp / 382 ft lbs n/a, 488 hp / 582 ft lbs nitrous - 6.3 Miniram

Mark (Mangus) 210 hp / 305 ft lbs - 5.7 TPI

Tim (Magman) 356 hp / 341 ft lbs - 6.3 Stealth Ram

There was also a stock 2007 Z06 Corvette that ran on the dyno. His three runs were:

396 hp / 374 ft lbs
410 hp / 389 ft lbs
397 hp / 370 ft lbs

Something about me pegging the wideband rich again makes me think I need to get back to tuning. Laughing

On the way back tony picked up new look-good stuff for his '86.

And thanks to Paul and Brandy for hosting everyone and cooking breakfast this morning!

It wasn't as much as I would have wanted, but still a small improvement over 143 HP and 225 LB/FT for headers and exhaust only. I need to add my thanks to Paul and Brandy as well. I had a great time and look forward to the next.

Al

No problem guys!

I see a Red X.

It's nice to have the power back that I had two years ago and then some. Can't wait to get to the track. Someday I'll have a rear that I wont snap!

I'll post a graph with the best of each year since we started getting disks. Should be pretty interesting.

so uhh... what the hell was wrong with that Z06 to be running sub-400's?

even on a mustang dyno they usually churn out about 440ish?
what type does McGee's have again?

Not sure, but I saw him get off it with an indicated 165 MPH on his speedometer.

Thanks Paul and Brandy! It was SOOO much fun! It was nice to see you all again. My buddy Jerome had a fun time as well.

Black Betty didn't make as much as I wanted but she made it down and back like a champ, and looked good doin it too! and that is enough for me Smile

So the suspected culprit is a clogged cat, would the fact when i pulled up to my house the cat was so hot it was smoking and burning the road grime off? Either way i'm gonna cut it off next time i go home.
