So i went to pull-a-part to today to browse around and i found a iroc shift knob that i needed and on my way out i saw they had a newer Delco Cd player that had been pulled from something. So i picked up the cd player but i kinda need some help . My stereo wiring is already hacked up from when i had AudioLab in marysville install my pioneer deck. So i kinda need some help.

It esentially has all the same connectors but it has an extra connector w/ 2 wires coming out of it. I havent started to wire anything yet but it says its a Delco Loc II, Model # 16145371 Serial# 1002828 It also has a date of 09-10-91. If it dosent end up working i can take it back within 30 days.

Any help would be useful. ALso if u need pictures i can post some up

Yes, pics would be good. I might be able to find the pin outs of the harness/connectors for you.

what i have done when i buy cars with hacked harnesses (all of them) is to solder in a factory harness from the junkyard. makes everything easier.

You need to check the schematic of the car it came out of. Some of the CD players came with the upgraded audio system. This system had an amplifier so the head units were pre-amp output only. I would not proceed until you can verify that.

Also on the connector that is off to the side that looks like i has 1 wire coming off of it, it has 2 the gound came out of the terminal so i hve to fix that

Problem is though is that i dont know what it's out of. Pull a part goes through before the cars get out to the yard and pulls all the stereo's and puts them inside to sell seperatly.

Appears to be similar to what was in the late 80's - early 90's S-10 trucks and similar vehicles. I see you have all the wires necessary for the 20pin harness to make the thing work, the other harness probably isn't needed. Here's the rundown on your wiring...

Pin 1 - GRY - Left Front Speaker (-)
Pin 2 - TAN - Left Front Speaker (+)
Pin 3 - DK GRN - Right Front Speaker (-)
Pin 4 - LT GRN - Right Front Speaker (+)

Pin 5 - BLK - GND
Pin 6 - BRN - Interior Park Lamp Supply Voltage
Pin 7 - GRY - Instrument Panel Lamp Supply Voltage (Dimmer)
Pin 8
Pin 9 - YEL - Fused Output (ACC)
Pin 10 - ORN - Fused Output (BATT)

Pin 11
Pin 12
Pin 13
Pin 14
Pin 15
Pin 16

Pin 17 - LT BLU - Right Rear Speaker (-)
Pin 18 - DK BLU - Right Rear Speaker (+)
Pin 19 - YEL - Left Rear Speaker (-)
Pin 20 - BRN - Left Rear Speaker (+)

The ones I left blank are not used. Hope this helps a bit. You should be able to find the corresponding wires under the dash if your harness is hacked, that's what I had to do.

You may want to ask tony what is on the back of his

That extra connector might be a leftover from the aux input connector found on decks with a tape player? I wouldn't worry about it unless it won't turn on.

Yeah, the extra connector does look like the 9 pin aux input for a slave deck. Got one on the 2002 deck in my 89. The main harness is identical to mine, that's where I got the info from Wink

I found out that radio came from 1993 GM W-body, more likely a Chevy Lumina.

Used this site to find out via e-mail by sending them the part number
