I spent the weekend in Long Beach with my friend, and decided to swing through Seaside and Portland on my way back up into Washington, just for a road trip.
I was driving from Seaside to Portland on highway 26, when all of a sudden, I see some sort of low-slung sportscar behind me. It took me a few seconds for this process to go through my brain:
Hmm, what is that car there behind me?
Wait, it looks very exotic...
No, it couldn't be a Lamborghini
Holy crap!!! It's a Lamborghini!!!
At this point, I turn to my friend and say in an urgent tone of voice:
"Jimmy, get the camera."
He says, "why?"
"Jimmy, just get the freaking camera."
"but why?"
"GET THE CAMERA! THERE'S A LAMBO BEHIND US!!!"
"huh? where?..... HOLY CRAP!"
This guy passes us, and I downshift into 4th and hammer it. I wouldn't call my car especially slow, but the way that Lambo pulled away from us.... so freeking amazing. We noticed as he passed that not only was he driving a Lambo, rare enough, but that it was a brand new Gallardo Superleggera!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Gallardo#Gallardo_Superleggera
So, this guy wasn't driving his Lambo like an old man, no, he was passing every chance he got, and I was trying my very best to stay with him. We managed to get a lot of pictures and video, and I hung with him straight up until we got into Hillsboro, then I had to pull off We were with him for 30 or 40 miles though!
Such an amazing experience to play with a Lamborghini. I doubt I'll ever be that lucky again.

hehe - looks like you had fun.
Speaking of fun, did you see what decorates the passenger seat of a Lambo?

lmao, took me a few seconds, but then i got it...
Sorry bout the music I guess, I was trying to be funny but sometimes I fail miserably...
The way that car accelerated though, was beyond amazing. My friend actually found him on a Lamborghini forum and registered to send him a PM. Turns out he is "Executive Talent Scout" for Nike. That means he tells them who to hire when they need a new senior executives... That's a pretty high up job Cool guy though, he said he had as much fun as we did that day, even though his car is worth literally a hundred times more than mine... lol |

| Heh, I saw a silver F430 on my way home from work last night. Of course, being that my car was mad at me yesterday, the SES light came on, so I didn't go try to play with him. |

We are fortunate to live in the g$ate northwest. I have wittnesed the distruction of an S2000 by Ferrrari with huge rear ( F 40) wing on I5, honda must have anchor in tow.
I have a picture of an F430 on my phone, parked like a accord in Bellevue Square mall.
I still remeber getting destroyed by an AWD twin turbo Porshce in my 87 before modding, that thing was crazy quick!
The last time i met a Turbo porshe, I passed him side ways, LOL. I can still see the look on his face, mainly becuase I was pointed right at his door! Damn Goodyear eagle tires! |
