|
|
I'm helping a friend sell his car as he asked me to post it on websites I frequent. I can answer most questions about this car, or I will give you the contact information with the owner.
Pictures and price are at bottom of write up.
The car has 33,110 miles. He is the third owner of this car. He purchased it May 5, 2004 from a fellow member of a car enthusiast site who actually built the car to what it is today. The only things he changed about the car from the way it was built is he swapped in the non-AC box, re-installed the fog lights and put in a new heater core. The car has run a best of 11.66 @ 117.20 by the previous owner and he have the video he took of the run. (posted below)
The car is incredible, a total blast to drive, but he is changing things in his life. Car has a secret custom grind cam that he promised the previous owner he would never give out unless he sold the car. If you ask what the cam specs are he will NOT tell you until you have bought the car. If you cant live with that then you will have to move on. Obviously, if you buy the car you will receive the cam specs. The cam is a Lethal EFI Performance Custom Cam by Joe Overton (he posts on LS1 tech and has the fastest LT1 around). The car is tuned by TRAXION, whom also built the car and both he and I have a TREMENDOUS amount of respect for.
Want to have a 33,110 mile stock IROC? He has many, many of the parts that will bring it back to stock that comes with the car! Its up to you how you keep the car, but with 33,110 miles, it will likely increase in value, especially being that it is a 90 IROC-Z-hardtop-L98. Car has many, many receipts as well as the original window sticker laminated. Everything is numbers matching. Car also comes with another set of 16 IROC rims, with the rears having BFG Drag Radials. He never used them; he's never taken the car to the track during ownership.
He's selling this car and a 91 Z28 and a 92 Liberator 201 due to life stepping in and changing things. I know he sincerely hates to get rid of the IROC, I know he will miss it and I know I will want it back one day.
Negatives:
-Previous owner had the car scrape drivers side rear bumper cover. You can clearly see this in the picture.
-Very minor nearly unnoticeable indentation drivers side door.
-The turn signal has a slight problem when initiating a left turn signal. Most of the time you have to pull it forward just slightly while clicking it to the left. This has been like this through at least two of the three ownerships.
-I was told the trip odometer works, but not perfectly. He said he honestly didnt notice, but he put only 282 miles on the car during his entire ownership since 1994!
THE CAR IS SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. THERE IS NO WARRANTY AT ALL. The buyer is relying solely on his/her own inspection, and not on any written or verbal representations made by myself nor the owner nor anyone else as to the condition of the vehicle. We strongly advise you to be a good driver. No offense, but this car is not for irresponsible drivers. The seller nor I are not responsible for anything that happens to you or the car. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping.
The item is being transferred on an "as is where is basis" with no warranties expressed or implied as to the condition of the item. Furthermore, the "buyer" agrees to hold the "seller" and his heirs free from liability if any damage occurs from the use or transportation of the item sold.

| That's a really sweet ride, I just think that the price is scaring most away. I've seen LS1 swapped 3rd gens go for 12-13k. Very nice ride though! |

Thanks for your honesty.. I'm just the messenger.
at this point, i wouldn't be surprised if the owner accepted an offer that is just above half his asking price.., like I said he is very motivated.
...a LS1 swapped thirdgen for $12k, where?? I'd buy one!! _________________

Not shootin' the messenger .
Saw a couple on TGO about a couple years back (when I used to frequent the boards). You can get an LS1 4th gen for about 8k with 100k+ on 'em normally, if you're just interested in LS1's atleast |

Lets not turn this into a price bashing thread.
I for one would love to see someone here buy this car, then the Red team would finally have a fast car on board. |

| IMHO, this is a for sale ad, Let him attempt to sell it. If you are offering an ammount, contact him. If you think it is a $4500 car, then offer him $4500 and leave it at that, if you want to discuss it, start a new thread in the general discussion. The for sale section is for selling things. |

| The car looks about average condition and definatly goes fast. I would trade my 90 IROC vert for it in a heartbeat. But not my 87 with the ZZ4 and T-Ram intake. |
