Since I have my exhaust apart, I was considering a hi flow converter. My only requirement would be direct replacement (no slip ons)

I have a Flowmaster series 40 muffler now and wish to improve flow a bit.

I had one on my car for a while, I can't say much about it since I put it on at the same time I did my cat-back. For the price there aren't really any other bolt up options, and it should be better than stock.

Since the cat acts as an obstruction to the harmonic flow of the exhaust, wouldn't proper placement of the cat aid in scavaging?

i put a catco on the six. no dyno numbers. but it has lasted 3 years. of course thats behind 2.8 liters of fury, as oposed to say.. 5.7 liters.

Hey, don't waste your hard earn cash on the catco. I'm sure they are alright, however, IF your going to put a cat on it...I would spend the extra cash and go with a Random Tech. cat. I've heard that they are far superior than any other cat on the market. Yet, I'm sure every manufacture says that crap. I buddy of mine in Texas has one on his Z and it was night and day!
