Hi guys,
I was talking with my dad the other night, and it is apparent that he is not doing well at all. He was getting winded just talking on the phone.
Ginny (stepmom) is almost completely blind now and completely dependent on him. If something happens to dad (heaven forbid), she's going to be so lost. I'm not looking forward to any of this, but I know it is coming.
Therefore, I have altered my job searching criteria now to getting down to the southwest. They live in Alamogordo, next to White Sands, Holloman AFB, and within driving distance of El Paso, Tucson, Phoenix, etc. Sorry Mike, P-town is pretty much out now.
If anybody on here knows anybody down that way, I'm hoping to find an inside track on an Associate Electrical Engineer (or similar) position.
Time is of the essence! If a position is found and agreed upon by the end of July, then I am even able to arrange my own relocation at no-cost.
If you have any ideas, please contact me soonest. I have resumes, a degree, experience and initiative.
Thanks for your help,
Paul |

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours Paul.....
There are great things happnin' in the power transmission and distribution, see if you can get on a utility in TX or even a service provider.
My company is a provider for PSE and we are owned by Quanta Services. Quanta did almost a billion dollars in 2002 and is the 3rd largest company of its kind in the world. Anyway give them a shout !
pitch:
With operations across the country and in Canada, Quanta Services is busy designing, installing and maintaining the next generation of network infrastructure that brings power, communications and a growing array of services to homes and businesses. We are always looking for bright and energetic individuals to join the Quanta team.
For information about career opportunities, contact us via e-mail at

Good Luck !

Thanks for the info Don!
I don't know anything about big power other than not to stick my tongue on it! I know even less about "network infrastructure"!! I'm really just a "Tron Hunter" at heart! Been a tech for way too long.
How come they don't publish their jobs? You have to email them to get the list?? THAT'S weird. I'll give it a shot though. You know, beggars, choosers, and all that.
If I find something, be sure that I will be contacting you for getting in! Who knows, you might get a referral bonus!
Later,
Paul |
