things I find wrong...

93k miles
SS Hood ... likely aftermarket, nobody likes paying new prices for an SS hood (Which means, you have a Z28, nothing wrong with it, of course, but still)
Sport Wing ... seriously now... if you didn't replace that, I'd drive up there and personally slap you... needs an SS wing to pull off the look.

not too sure on those carbon fiber tails, but there are so many different tail lights out there, who knows.

carbon fiber shift boot though? I didn't have any idea they made carbon fiber in fabric form... interesting.

Engine wise, looks fine, but I'd have to ditch the Bosch +4 and the Taylor Wires... taylor wires suck for LS1's

check the headers for rust, ceramic coated headers can be deceiving

Looks like the kids money went into those wheels/tires and the stereo system... though why he chose 265/30's is beyond me, on an 18x9.5" I'd have gone 275 minimum but maybe thats just me.

just being nitpicky... the wheels and stereo could be worth it to you, but to me, the stereo would be the first thing to go, there are many better setups to use, not to mention, a place to put your T-Tops if you care to take them off.

but uhh... ifn you get it, and decide you dislike the C6 Z06 wheels... let me know, I want them. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Ugh. Ricified engine bay is enough. Not worth that cash unless you plan on turning around and selling off some of that crap.

i figured the engine bay was the least of his worries... the guy probably just had the red top and the STB and figured, some loom casings and for some unknown reason the shrowd cover would be great in red...

I've seen worse, so I didn't mention it Laughing

Tell the guy return it to stock and you'll pay 10k for it.

They do, it's just like fiberglass fabric, it's a matt before it's coated in resin. I actually had a CF shift boot for awhile. It only took a few weeks before it was splitting apart and throwing slivers everywhere.

265 is insantely tiny for a 9.5 wheel! I'm running 275 front and 295 rear!

well, technically it is true, since the corvette had them in 97, and the castings are all identical to one another...

Just a sales pitch. He makes it sound like he swapped a Camaro LS1 with a Corvette LS1 (which anyone who's in the know, will know that would be completely pointless.)

i agree with most of what you guys said...the only thing that caught my eye was the ls1 6sp black (nobody can deny the fact that black is a sexy color) and the all that stereo system. id also kinda wanna know were 17,500$ came from in mods...hmmm false number perhaps??? lastly nobody likes a muscle car turned ricer.

the only way id do this is if the guy returned it to mostly stock. (leave the hood, take the wing and some other crap) and dropped like 4-5 thou

in all honestly probably 3500 could have been just stereo... when you replace the monsoon, you replace every last piece in the system. His setup looks professionally done at least...

another 2500-3500 would probably be the C6 wheels and the tires depending on where he got them... the wing, probably 200-300 + paint, the hood, anywhere from 550-1150 depending on OEM vs. Aftermarket + paint... Optima Red Top is $175ish depending on where you look

LT's + Y Pipe probably another 500-600 ... JBA's aren't spectacular but they get the job done... STB $150ish, Carbon Fiber Lid... another $150, B&M Ripper, again, $150... the MAF could be anything from an SLP ($450) to something far superior ($600ish) ... High Flow Cats... $300-400, Flowmaster - $50

EBC makes some great brake pads and rotors... so I assume $600ish for those ... I just looked at them today actually, they probably got my vote unless I can find better

keep in mind he says or best offer... anything he's got stock that you don't want I say take him up on it... if its got what you like in it, minus a few things here and there, as long as he has all the stock parts, offer 14k and sell off the other BS parts ...

or at the very least, get receipts for everything

~ edit ~
for what it's worth, I bought my 01 SS for 16k with 13,894 miles on it...
it was bone stock, nary a single modification to the car whatsoever.

it still has the factory plastic on the carpet in the rear seat foot area...
you can find something that has less miles and is a better deal for sure.
