1984 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

Well, I found this parts Z28 on Craigslist the other day in Toledo, called the guy up and went to look at the car, hoping to steal the gfx for my lowly sport coupe.

Upon arriving, I found it to be a hardtop '84 5-speed L69 car, but with no motor. I decided to buy the whole thing, cause it was amazingly straight and all complete, and also cheap. It is black on black, decent condition.

I picked it up for $350 Very Happy

My plan is to fix this thing up, drop a 350 in it, and sell my sportcoupe, hopefully I can break even, and have a nice camaro too.

Anyone have a runner 350 sitting around?

I have a bare block with heads.....you'd have to do all the machine work to it though.

Not bad for $350.00! Throw some 16" Iroc's on there with a decent 350 under the hood and you'll have a nice ride. Saving the 3rd gens... good on ya!

Thats gonna be a nice ride with those IROCs and a 350. Are you sure it had an L69? The Camaro White book claims that you could only get an auto tranny with the L69. My '84 Z L69 was an auto. No matter since the engine is gone. What gears has she got? Mine had 3.73s. Good luck with it! Cool

Surprisingly, the interior is in decent shape. All the plastics are there, and the seats aren't ripped up hardly at all. I think after some cleaning, it'll work fine.

Yeah, part of the reason I grabbed it so fast is that it is an actual 5-speed L69, which is kind of rare. It truly doesn't matter, since it's getting a 350 anyway, but yes, the RPO list has both L69 and MM5.

3.73's too, if it's still the stock gears, and I'm thinking it might be aftermarket posi, cause there's an equal amount of dried rubber left on both rear fenders and no G80 RPO... Burnout

I hope to make it a nice car, maybe some of you guys will see it next year at Cows... Very Happy
