OK so I'm thinking of changing my exhaust around from my dual glass pack dumps which gives me no ground clearance to a three inch cat back but i cant find a y pipe that fits the full length hedman headers. Just seeing if anyone has a solution for me. Thanks Very Happy

Flowmaster makes those "y" pieces.

I don't like that design though. It's too close to the driveline for my tastes. Things flex down there when you get some power under your belt. LOL

Shocked

Holy cow. Nice setup Very Happy

I have no input other than that. I have shorty's on the LT1 with a single 3.5" that follows the stock routing.

Just turn the headers upside down and run them through the hood.

Ian, do you know anything about the new crossmember that Skulte has been selling for LT headers? I haven't heard from anyone actually using it.

The only contact on mine is made right at the rear yoke when the axle is within ~3/4-1" from full droop. So unless I'm jumping the car. It's not smacking anything. Very Happy

That's not my exhaust though. I used that as a guide and just copied it however. Looks exactly the same, just the welds suck ass. Laughing

As for that SPD unit. No idea? That's come out within the last year I assume? I haven't looked at any options for awhile. Hell, I still have my SPOOOOOOHHN t56 xmember. Now that I think about it. I remember a crewbit wanting to buy it. shizzle, lemme check my PMs.

If not, I'll take it. Very Happy

It's one of the last pieces of the puzzle. After that I only need a starter, a pilot bushing and a weekend off.

Looks like z28redline was the one that wanted it so I PM'd him to see if he still wanted it. Otherwise it's yours. If you need a hand wrenching, I'd be willing to help. Heck, if it overlaps sunday you could probably get RSfreak and Turbojimi over to at least watch. Shocked Laughing

Nah, working Sunday. Damn split non-weekend days off. Evil or Very Mad

Gonna shoot for Wednesday to get the car started, shaken down, all fluids changed, and up on the stands.

BTW, any luck with that battery we talked about?

Thanks man. What's a good time Wednesday? Prefferably early, since I've got a lot of work to do.

That's a great looking piece.

I thought everyone says longtube headers won't work on these cars without notching the subframe??!?

...? Notching the subframe? I had to clearance the area where the driver side front control arm bushing sits in the kmember but that's more because they headers were cheap.

Not anymore. Laughing My parents got divorced and my dad moved to western washington and took all of his tools and most of the big stuff; mig welder, arc welder, press, brake, big compressor, etc. He says I can go over to his shop and use his stuff any time but driving 5 hours to fix an exhaust leak or tweak the piping just doesn't seem worth it.

Very Happy And that's why I take welding/fab shop classes. Free access to tools and materials.

Dylan, is that why your exhaust looks like it hangs so low (because you have LT's)? Too bad you don't have a T-5...I'm doing a custom crossmember for my car. If it turns out well, I told Tony I'd make him one too. I suppose I could make one for a T-56, but I'd have to have blueprints or an example to look at and copy.
