Why do you think I have been late getting to the dyno, every year. |

Well the commander showed up yesterday evening. We ended up with a mini-gathering early in the day with Paul, Dewey and Bartimus over to hang out. Commander is all tucked away in the factory location, factory harness wiring for injectors and sensors has been trimmed and new harness installed, the new nitrous and fuel solenoids are mounted and wired (still need some adapter fittings). A few more things to hook up and we'll be ready to fire her up and start tuning. Hopefully Monday. Thanks John, Paul and Bart - was a fun day of hanging out.
We went and grabbed a bite to eat and talked about the fact that the Portland Auto Show is this weekend. We were thinking that this might be a fun activity anyone who wants to hang out for a while longer after breakfast on Sunday.
Just throwing it out there.
Not sure what the plan is for Saturday afternoon/night.

Just pick a place, if you want to just plan to stay here, that is fine.
Also, if you need, Bart said he would be happy to drive your car to/from the dyno and such.

Doing the Car show sounds good next Sun...if enough people are up for it, I'm game.
Gambino and I had our own Mini-meet today.
We got a clutch fan and spedometer cable for my car from the JY and put them in.
The Bleeder screw on my clutch Slave cylinder is slightly stripped leading to a slow leak... I think I"m just gonna see if I can track down a mechanical linkage setup for my car. Call me old school but I'd prefer to adjust two jam nuts and end play than go through that bleeding BS again. Rod, do you have Mechanical linkage on your car? If so, could you snap some pictures and PM em to me? I'd just like to get an idea of how it looks assembled. I know I'll need a Z bar, Pivot stud and pushrod for the petal and one for pushing the fork, anything else?
Also need to get those braded brake lines and a couple 90 degree fittings. I'll have to make a trip to Oil Filter Service next week.
if the weather is clear on dyno day, I might drive her anyways W/o wipers and exhaust, if I'm not tony's driver for his white bird. _________________

Consider it a done deal...
I'll pull a JY's Hydraulics since mine doesn't seem to be sealing 100%. I can give you mine too if you want em, otherwise I'll just throw em in the garbage.
lets figure out a time after dyno to do a trade.
I wanted to do a kayak trip on the Rogue in the spring, I suppose I could make a stop in K-falls then. _________________

The whole point of this.... if I read right... is that Rod wants your hydraulic bellhousing. |

Or any hydraulic bellhousing.
I HAVE to have a 5 spd swap done before Cows.
But I do thave the whole mech setup out of Bartimus's Trans Am. I also have the mech setup on my car but I'm keeping it for the time being. You can check out how it hooks up next weekend. |

Sweet.
If its just the bellhousing you want I can pull mine this week and bring it to dyno, we can swap parts then. Is what your talking about trading is already loose off Bart's old T/A?
Let me know. _________________

Leave your car in one piece for the weekend. Like you said if the weather is good you might bring her out. I'll bring the mech setup and then we'll figure out your bellhousing later this spring. I'm not going to do the swap until late March early April. I want to wait until the snow is done before changing Jen's car so she doesn't have to get used to the 5 spd on bad roads. |

Its really not a problem for me to take the bellhousing out and bring it to dyno.
At this point, I don't think I'll be driving it this weekend anyways. I cannot get the hydraulic clutch to hold any kind of good pressure, the slave cyl will barely push the fork with the petal all the way to the floor. And I'm definately not gonna drive it in that shape. Plus the wipers and exhaust. _________________

Don't think that I'll make it. The LT1 car is still torn apart for painting and the V6 car isn't up for a 300mile trip. Maybe better luck next time. I'll be sure to bring it down for the next event.

Go get a JY slave and exhaust is meh.
I'd make the wipers work. Even a momentary switch or something. |

we can jurry rig wipers real easy. those wires are right up top and not difficult to get too at all, we can run a few feet of wire through a hole in the firewall and attach it to a switch (i have a few extras i am sure) which we can leave in the passanger seat (or anywhere) that you can hit to wipe. no problemmo.
as for exhasut... pfff.. who cares. just drive it to dyno and then back home. you can roll with me for the rest of the weekend.
we can replace clutch hydrolics easy.
don't be a wuss.... dyno it!!!!!!!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------
BTW what is our car count up too now?
keeping in mind i am only for sure on one car, the six being a "maybe" depending upon prognosses and availability of spare parts.
thus far i count
John Dewey
Tony
Paul
Al Hasse
Al Hasse
Ian
Mike Schultz
LB985IROC
scott
Rodney
thats 10 cars with the possability of an 11th if i can get the birdie running and have enough cash left over to dyno

She's alive! She's alive!
Not too bad... still a lot of work to do before Saturday. It's a good thing that Paul has done the commander 950 swap before.
