I posted this on Offtopic because a guy with an 88 T/A locked his keys in his car, and awhile back my sister called me to help her unlock hers at work because she left her keys in the ignition and locked it with the power locks. Embarassed

Anyways... It is silly how easy this is to do. And, if you guys ever locked your keys in your cars, now you know to get them out.

This also works on my Jimmy, the 70, and my parents 98 GMC.

You need a straight piece of metal hanger, and a medium to small sized flat nose screwdriver.

1. Insert the hanger into the lock until it bottoms out.
2. Push the screwdriver into the lock on top of the hanger and turn it as you would your key to unlock the door.

Simple as that.

Oh, and.. here is a video how to if you just dont get it.

How To #1

How To #2

This is a good time to remind everyone to get their Grant removable steering wheels installed, right?

I thought everybody knew that the easiest way into a locked 3rdgen was to just grab the top of the glass and pull it outward and reach in and unlock the door??? 10 seconds at most, and no tools needed.
