So we are home today minding our own business when a car salesman calls that remembered me from buying an 89 RS a couple years ago. Seems he got a Firebird in on a trade and thought I should take a look. So we run down there and Jen really liked this car. Before long we made a deal. This will be her new daily driver/project which means her Honda is going to get sold ASAP.

Awsome car.

87 Firebird with the fierce LG4/700R4 combo. 95,000 miles in like new condition. Perfect interior and runs great, not even any rattles inside. We gotta go pay for it and pick it up later this week, better pictures then.

She's happy! Smile

I'm happy for her! Smile

Time to get happy together!! Razz

Other then not being a formula that looks exactly like Deb's bird used to. Same color, same striping everything cept the hood and spoiler. BTW the 87 LG4 is basically the same as an L69. It used the same heads as tpi, same ignition system with knock sensor etc, and has higher compression then the earlier lg4s. We had over 220k miles on ours before I decided to replace with the 327.. and it still ran fine. It did like premium fuel though.

Here's a pic from the first elk river gathering.. back when we were sporting the gray suede top..

Paid $1500 for it, great deal considering the condition.

It will soon recieve the 3.73 rear and 5 spd setup out of the 83 birdie.
Should go get it tomarrow night. She wants to take it to Cows next year so it looks like we will do a mini caravan north in June.

Sweet deal rod!

Since this new one is getting the 28 spline DB rear, and the 5 speed, does that mean the 83 will get this new one's old parts?

I think the 83 has reached the end of the line. Sad

I'd take the whole car if Rod wants to sell it....how much you want?

I'll have to sell off the fairlane first....but I'd love to have another F-body, even if its an automatic as daily transportation.
