I use a very similar technique Al, I pull the insulators off of crimp-on connectors and crimp them using my Klein non-insulated crimp tool, then solder and heat shrink.
I also have a ratcheting insulated crimp tool that I use when I'm too lazy to solder.  |

I'll bet you find yourself still reaching for a toggle switch that doesn't exist.
Kind of like the one time I drove my dad's truck and stomped on the floor going for the clutch that didn't exist. Good thing I missed the brake pedal! |

| Definitely still watching my temp gauge really closely. but the needle pretty much stays in the same spot now. lol |
