Nope. Im going to slide a new set of bmr's under there once I get the k-member and engine mounted in. Going to change over from the airbags I was using in the front to a set of moroso trick springs also.

Trying to get parts that will keep me busy and buy more as I go lol

Which Trick springs did you get? Small block or big block?

I have not gotten the springs yet. I am thinking a set of small block ones since this is going to be pretty light in the front.

Have you used those before? Are there serious handling issues if you had to make a quick move or brake really hard to dodge an accident on the street?

Just for fun I got some Trick springs that I'm going to try with my LSx swap and BMR K-member, but I ended up getting the big block springs and will cut them as necessary. I got a cheap, lightly used set for $40 so I can't really lose anything trying. The thought is it will improve street handling a bit but give me more weight transfer than sport lowering springs. Does this sound reasonable to you?

I got nervous after watching youtube videos of 3rd gens with the small block springs. All the cars appeared to be on the verge of out of control, and some did lose control. I didn't want my street car to handle like that.

I have heard some stories about them not being great for a street car but I guess it is all in what you are looking for. I know that my car is no longer a corner carver.... it has a LOT of body roll in the front with 90/10's and no front sway bar. I have ran bags up front for quite some time which has NO rebounding to them basically their only purpose was the hold the front end up enough to not bottom out. Once you were on the throttle they jumped the front end into the air...... I never had any problems with them out on the street but I also just cruise the car around and know the limitations of it now in a corner.

Im probably the only camaro in the area that slows down for all corners lol

I also know I wont be putting a ton of miles on the car out on the street also since the engine combo will just kill itself. I would love to do something like drag week or something someday just to say I did it!

Ok so it has been an eventful week. Undercarriage is gutted and k member and suspension is laying off to the side of the car. Getting everything cleaned up and ready to slide the new k member under that car.

Also scored a set of moroso trick springs over on thirdgen.org

Anyone know if all years of S-10 manual steering boxes will work? thinking about swapping to that as well while the motor is out and I am getting everything done before putting the engine in.

Tonight was engine night!

Got the heads bolted on and rev kit in. Also got the pushrods measured and ordered from Manton.
