the only 3 things i have left are the speedo & the 2 electrical plugs, but i cant get my hands behind it at all
is there any bolts or studs that hold it in? i dont see any on my replacement cluster at all

				| You dont have to drop the column. After the trim pieces and the plastic cover there are two 10MM ghetto nuts in the bulb areas on the bottom. One on each side. Silver. Un do those, then pull the cluster forward, gauges stay intact.
Then reach behind and depress the retaining spring that holes the speedo cable to the back of the speedo/cluster.

Once you start tearing into a thirdgen you'll know what I mean. When you try to take louvers off, or the cluster out, or your mirror off the door, etc.

				| He's being funny... it is a lame little sheet metal/aluminum type screw often used on plastic.
Don't go looking for 'ghetto nut' in your service manual

				| It's the ones that just look like a small piece of pressed sheetmetal (10mm head I think? Isn't everything on these cars 10mm?) usually with a chunk of black rubber crap on the inside to glue it in becuse it isn't really threaded. The nut kind of "cuts" its way on. It's a goofy metal nut that threads onto plastic.... what happens when we try to tighten something like that?
