well i had been throwing around all kinds of idea's for this LT1 over the last few weeks, and i finally decided to just do it. and throw a cam in the thing this weekend. i started on it last night, and took a few pics along the way! here you guys go, tell me what you think.
specs:
CC503 cam
LS7 lifters
Comp springs, retainers, keepers
comp pushrods
fresh LT1 heads milled with very minor pocket porting
ARP head bolts
all GMPP gaskets
pulling the car in to start demolition!!
demo begins!
tearing into it...
woah! heads off!
cleaned the heads in the Jetwash, installed new Viton stem seals, fresh 3 angle valve grind, new bronze valve guides, and comp springs, retainers, keepers.
milled them .030 for compression while i was at it.
now.. reassembly time!
that's as far as i've gotten on it for today, i'm gonna head out for a buger and beers now! i think i did okay for having like 12 hours total in it soo far right?? tomorrow i'll be back at it bright and early! i'm hopefully going to light it off before dinner time! we shall see. _________________ 1992 Camaro 1LE Z28 |

That would have been much funnier in England. |

holy crap, thats some quick progress! Let me know how you like that cam and work to the heads. It's almost the exact setup i've been eyeballing for my lt1.
