Thanks. He was at $5500, now at $4500. I've got cash........greenbacks........mula.........dead presidents Wink Maybe he will take $4000. But I've learned that pictures can be deceiving. I looked at one in tacoma that had killer pics and 84k miles. I got there and it had orange peel all the way down the left side, green golf course carpet in the very back, and the steering wheel was off about 20 degrees when driving down the road. 7 owners, failed emissions, last owner had it for 4 months. Was a fleet vehicle also. They wanted $7k, I told them $2k cash. I think they didn't like me much there.

This guy seems pretty honest in his ad. Says it needs ball joints, scratches in the paint, and interior rattles. He didn't have to mention the ball joints at all. He also has receipts for the NEW not rebuilt trans 25k ago he says. The trans is one thing I can't do. All the computerized stuff in it. I can do the engine and everything else but paint, not set up for that.

So...........we will see tomorrow.

You might get away with $3500. The windshield is cracked also. I wonder how much I could ask for mine. 1998, 140k miles, rebuilt engine at 104k, new transmission at 122k, front end rebuilt and new windshield done in the last year, clean inside/out.

Go to KBB.com and check yours out.

Well I'll see how it goes tomorrow. A new wind shield is $185 installed. I like this one because it's a 2 door, and a ZR2. (I'm only looking at 2 doors) And I like the color also. Could do without the brush guard. So might put that on craig's list if I get it.

Kelly Blue Book says $4535 in good condition, $3935 in fair condition for the 01 he has. So he's right in there for pricing it seems. Depends on how motivated he really is Wink

Definitely make sure you slide under that thing and point out all the leaks. I've only seen a handful at the dealership that didn't have at least some sort of leak.

I'd planned on going under it to check for "wheelin"'damage anyway. I appreciate the tip.

Well it was about how I expected it to be, other than someone stealing the spare tire off it a couple of nights ago he said. I got it for $3650.

A few burn marks in the seats, the ABS light was on but went off after I drove it and restarted it. He had the paperwork on the new trans, was a jasper rebuilt. Also new front CV shafts, brake work, ect. Trans seems to shift well, the 4x4 seems to engage ok. Radio works.......I like that part Wink Left door top hinge pin is shot, but that's normal.

The guy seemed very honest. Told me about little things he didn't need to say. Got more of a warm fuzzy feeling from him than the car salesmen I've talked with in the last few weeks.

So now have to fix a few things. First off is a spare tire. I just put and ad on CL with a pic of what I'm looking for. But I could use any wheel that would fit and a tire of the same size. It's just a spare, but............another factory mag wheel would be nice to have.

You know, just for the heck of it I'm curious about my Firebird. Sent you a PM with my VIN. I know it had body damage before I bought it because the bondo cracked and that's when the car got repainted and fixed right. Curious if the history report will identify this.
