I guess these have been around a few years, but msd is sending out some warnings about them. Check out what is actually inside one of them!

Outside looks the same but the fins arent consistant. The mag trigger wires and the other wires are on opposite sides of the box from a true msd.. and every box has the same serial #.. which matches the one on the cardboard box!! LOL

Yep:

Note the serial number on the case. It is the one they copied for the fake run.

Bear in mind that MSD makes most of their stuff in China now. The boxes are alleged to be built in a sweatshop full of Mexicans in Texas so they can claim "Made in USA" on the box.

Regardless, I've had MSD stuff fail on me enough that I wouldn't buy anything of theirs fake or not unless it was used and proven.

If it was made in USA then MDS would have been able to put a stop to it by a law suit.

MSD no longer makes the 6a or 6al boxes. So if you're buying a new analog ignition system it will either be old stock..or one of these fakes.
