The engine bay being a different color than the rest of the car is actually more of a MOPAR thing. Aaron's white engine bay has a purpose, as he has stated before, makes it easier to spot leaks and such. Wink

Leaks from what? The engine is between the white and all the other fluids are easily seen.

Put it together rightb and there are no leaks.

Ford in the 60's did black engine bays. As John mentioned Mopar did off-color engine bays as well.

I did white for visibility while working more than seeing any leaks.

Delta cams are regrinds. I have seen people run them in roller motors without trouble, but who knows. One of the engines I had in the Monterey had one, but that engine blew up due to an unrelated issue.

So it appears I have a 327 block bored ..030 over and I think someone has lut a 350 crank in it because when I measuered with my tape it was closer to 3.5 stroke, but I will comfirm.with a better measuring.devise.

If you have a 4" bore and a 3.48" stroke it is a 350. It doesn't matter what crank the block had in it originally. The only meaningful displacement-affecting difference between the two is the stroke.

Lots of 327 blocks had the same casting numbers as 350. It's essentially the same block until you start getting into small journal stuff.

Any displacement can make power. Bear in mind that Al's 383 and Derrick's 305 are within five horses of each other.

Far be it from me to say this, but this build is going too slowly. Razz
