So I got a Holley double pumper for a ford because it says motorcraft. Anyboy have ever used this carb, and how do I find the correct linkage for it

what's it going on? How can we help with linkage if we don't know what you're trying to link up. For all I know you're trying to put it on a leaf blower.

I don't know what it came off of. Was already off. It is lso my first holly

That number is a casting number not the list number.

Likely an early 80's Ford truck emissions carb.

There will be a FoMoCo part number (which will be like E4TF-1234-A) and a Holley list number which will be four or five numerals and then possibly a dash and one additional number (like 1234-1).

'83 Ford truck, Holley 4180 600CFM. Can't seem to find jet numbers on it but probably big because it's listed for a 460.

Weren't those the carbs with no idle mix screws? Laughing

Ya. After looking at it more I learned it wasn't double pumper. It doesn't have the two fuel inlets. It is still a big carb compared to my quadrajet. Do you think it will be better then my 85 truck qudarajet.

Your quadrajet is a much bigger carb. Quads are either 750cfm or 850cfm. That holley is only a 600. Dual inlets does not mean double pumper either. A double pumper has an accelerator pump on each float bowl.

Not sure how good that carb is or how easy it is to install on a chevy. A good and cheap 600cfm holley though is a list 1850. I've used one on my truck for quite a few years and it works very nice.

You want a carb that looks physically big.. I converted my 1850 to use center hung float bowls and added a secondary metering block.. Thing is gigantic for only a 600cfm carb.

Keep the Qjet. They're great carbs if they are dialed in properly. Plus you already have a good one on your car. There's no need to "upgrade" to a smaller carb. Sell the Holley to some schmuck, especially since you don't have a particularly usable Holley in the first place.

Ya. I will prob take it to that carb shop in Kent and have them tune it after I put on my other heads and new intake manifold
