I must have broken a wire or splice up front when I put a new battery in. Park lights and side markers up front do not come on, but blinkers work fine (markers too). Everything on the rear of the car works fine. The park light circuit seems to work because the driving lights I have wired as DRL turn off when the park light circuit is on (the way I wired it).

I'll figure this out, but wanted some input. I just love it when you fix something, then another seemingly unrelated problem comes up Mad

Dark brown wire. Comes from headlight switch through the C100 and down the driver's side in the headlight harness.

Thanks Aaron. I'm familiar with the wiring. That's the wire I tapped to activate the relay that turns off the driving lights when the park lights are turned on. I'll bet I broke that splice, it's next to the battery.

I'll assume this is on the '92 then.

There is one of Chevy's infamous multi-wire stamped-crimp-and-duct-tape-wrapped nonsense jobs right in that area as the harness goes down to the driver's side lights and over above the radiator to the passenger side. I would not be surprised to see a failure there.

I have one of those harnesses sitting on the shelf and I can easily unwrap it if you need some measurements or pictures or something.

Not necessary, thanks though. Yep, on the 92. I'm assuming this is my splice that broke when wrestling the new battery into position. The only thing not working is the lights, their power is there since the driving lights turn off with the park light circuit - the way I wired them. So it's between the lights and that splice...

Break was exactly where I thought it was. I cut the wire to splice the relay tap in, and the end that wen to the lights broke away, maintaining the tap for the relay.

On a side note, the new battery seems to have cured all the problems I've been having with my alarm - mostly with remote start. Has started first try every time, and stays running without the alarm tripping.
