There's an 1/8 mile track about ten minutes from my house.
Just a couple little things to straighten up, a little wire loom here and there, an engine bay wash, stuff like that. It's pretty much done though.
EDIT: And find a nice Z28 steering wheel to replace that stupid Grant. I hate that thing, as I was reminded by posting those pictures up. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

As usual this is a quality Cornman job.

I would, but it broke so I have to take it back and get a new one.
Best thing in the world to walk out of work to:

Probably a good thing you didn't listen to me or Paul then.

Indeed. Nothing like showing all those assholes at work that the project you're always fiddling with isn't as hopeless as they had assumed. |

Given my brake master cylinder problems, I haven't really gotten enough drive time in to need to fill it up yet. I think I only have something like 50 miles showing on my odometer at this point. I've driven to work twice and around my neighborhood a bunch.
I am expecting around 20mpg driving sanely around town and something like 30mpg on the highway. It's a stock LS1 (not even a cam!) with a tune and in a much lighter car than a 4thgen, and I can get 28-29mpg in my dad's bone stock '99 Z28/T56 so I think my expectations are pretty realistic.
My 350 with the stealth ram and big cam got about 15 in town and 21 on the highway. With how much I have driven so far, I am pretty sure the LS1 will at least match the peak power output of my last engine and have a broader torque curve while getting 50% better gas mileage. Modern technology is awesome. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Well, brake problems were fixed with an LS1 master cylinder which looks nice and doesn't leak! Although it did make the pedal a little less firm due to a little smaller MC bore. It is easier to modulate now though.
In much bigger news, I hit a milestone today! 1000 mostly trouble-free miles. The only problems I have had so far were a leaking oil pressure sending unit and a loose O2 sensor rattling on decel. So far so good! I've been extremely happy with the swap.

It is a nice setup.
Speaking of nice setups, I finally wired in a factory plug and got my free Delco radio working. The left channel was flaky and wiggling the volume knob caused it to come and go with terrible static. So I pulled it all apart and re-soldered a couple sketchy spots and it seems to be working flawlessly now.
The retro interior is finally almost done! Haha. I want a factory steering wheel badly but they are hard to find in excellent shape.

I have an '02 Z28 motor, trans, harness and ECU, a fully built '01 Trans Am rear end and '01 aluminum driveshaft, and '01 Camaro SS wheels. My car is mechanically more fourthgen than thirdgen!
Like I always say, it's easier to make a thirdgen fast than it is to make a fourthgen look good. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Haha wow it's not often to see a stock deck in a third Gen. Lol my buddy with that 83 Oldsmobile you saw at dyno insisted on keeping his old delco cassette too. But he put another deck with mp3 in the glove box |
