Sorry guys. Torque arm is sold to Aaron as of 5 minutes after I posted. It was a very noticeable upgrade and I am going to miss it but my goals don't include having it anymore. I'm going back to a stock torque arm with the T56. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Because I have decided that I am not pursuing maximum speed and handling with my car anymore. I'm getting too old for that and the compromises it entails. I want a nice, reliable, good looking and unique car to cruise around in and have a little fun. That is why the LS1 that is going in will stay completely stock as well. It will have enough power for fun on the street without going overboard.
If I regret it too much in the future, it's only money right? _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Well I respect your choice certainly to build/drive the car you want. But too old for it?

That's the cycle, Mike.
19 year old kids and middle aged men both end up with the same type of car. In between those two points in your life you start to appreciate having a working muffler and suspension. |

Well I guess I compromised and put smaller exhaust on mine to quiet it down a bit but I am a tad older
I do look forward to seeing the new LS in there bud.

I'm getting up there man, just turned 23 last month.
Really, I just am tired of expensive speed parts, having too much power to open up on the street regularly, poor driveability, too loud exhaust and not driving my car very much because of those reasons. I could fix all of those things with an SBC I know, but the kick in the pants to go LS1 presented itself. So I am doing this build right and doing it to make my car into something that is still fun and cool but that I can comfortably drive to work all week or drive 200 miles to see my parents for the weekend.
I'll only really be giving up 20-30 hp from my 350 to the LS1, which is saying something considering how much I will gain in everyday driveability. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Good points Gabe. Not sure what you were getting for mileage before but that will likely be a plus too. My dad always uses his C5 vette for road trips because it gets the best mileage... well, one of the reasons anyway

Yes, I considered mileage too. I could do 21-22 before on the highway which I am expecting to go up to 27-28 or so given what I did do with my Dad's 99 Z28. That will put it on par with the Subaru. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

If anyone wants a good 4-bolt 350 put $100 in my hands and come pick it up. Gotta get this thing gone. I'll toss the iron heads in too. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

How about the starter for your dear old Dad, at a family discount.
And what about those aluminum heads? The Chevelle could use an upgrade. |

One single Benjamin Franklin and nobody wants a good 350 to tinker with?
$100 takes this stuff, all assembled. I even have a hoist to load it into your truck.
4-bolt block with casting number 3970010 manufactured in 1972, .030 over bores
Cast 350 crank (I believe it is machined .010 undersized but you should measure)
Cast aluminum flat top pistons with valve reliefs
Stock rods, balanced
ARP rod bolts
Melling HV oilpump and pickup
Cloyes double roller timing set
Summit Racing 6.5" balancer
Summit K1103 cam (about 10k miles), no lifters
Chrome oilpan, timing cover, and dipstick
Waterpump with pulley and crank pulley _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56
