Looking to get 17x8.5 chrome c6 wheels from OEwheelsllc.com. I know there's something involved with wheel adapters or spacers or something. I just need to know how much work I actually need to do to get this done.

Thanks!

this is the link. It says fits 4th gens so I would imagine it's direct bolt on for 4th gens. http://oewheelsllc.com/Wheels_3/Wheels-for-Pontiac/C6_2

Why are you getting such a small wheel? As long as you're spending the money you might as well fill out the back wheel well with wider rim and tires.

for actually corvette wheel spacing, with 8.5", I run a 2" front, 2.25" rear on my car.

Not sure if those are the same as C5 corvette factory offset though. You might want to check the extra 1/4" fills out the rear fender lip a lot better, IMO.

I've got 255s in the back on 8" rims IIRC. What's the biggest rims/tires I can fit? I couldn't imagine going bigger than 255 on the front or rear. (I have a 225 on the front now, just what size rim I had. Bought the other 2 to match).

If I'm not mistaken, they are the same offset. Being so, I got 2" spacers for all four of my C5's wagons. I would recommend 2.25 or maybe a 2.5 because I had to "clearance" the rear because the tires rubbed a little on the inside. A thicker spacer would have helped. I had a 275 rear tire on the wider C5 rims.

The fronts are factory c5 offset and now that I think about it I'd agree with at least a 2.25 to be flush with the fenderlip but I hate tucking wheels.

You can go much bigger. I have 285/40/17 on the front and rear with room to spare. On the rear you can fit up to a 315 with some hammering to the inner fender well.

Here a picture of my car with some 17x8.5 +58 wheels with 245/45/17 tires and 2" spacers on the front. You can see how much those tuck in. That offset is only 2mm off from yours so they'll fit nearly identical. I would go with 2.25" or 2.5" rather than 2". But like Ian, I like my wheels flush the the outer fender lip.

Part of the front on yours is your alignment specs. Here is a similar view on my car. Here is mine with the wagon wheels, 255/45/17 tires. The wagon wheels should be a 56mm offset also.

Forgot to add in though, with my CTS-V brakes, you you need to add in the rotor space, so probably an extra 1/4" of spacing for me. So effectivly I am running 2.25" on all 4.

You can also see the difference in the rear, since I am running 2.25" spacers.

Here is a slightly different perspective.

I totally forgot to factor that in, in my picture I was running -1.6* of camber which will pull the top of the wheel in a bit.

Yup, i run much less neg camber. I don't think our cars when lowered need that much, I run -0.4* at the most, and it usually changes with each set of tires.
