Damn Diablo has been thoroughly occupying my non-work non-Mazda time. Laughing

Anyone else down this rabbit hole?

I spent the whole day, and next few days, during release playing DIII...theeen Battlefield 3 arrived at my door and I've been playing that ever since. Laughing

I always go back to playing Blizzard games. My brother and I still play Starcraft.

It's because they encode digital crack into their games Laughing

The thing about those games is there is no end soon it will be over run with modders and people camping outside the gate to kill you and whatever the form of cow runs is in this one lol I played diablo 2 for years and played through countless times like I said digital crack.

Thought you could still single play, just still had to have an online connection for their weird policy?

I'm playing single play, but yes it has to be connected online. Which is frustrating when it gets disconnected because it makes you start over from the last checkpoint. Mine was disconnecting all the time until I found the secret. Need to log into general chat while playing, that keeps the connection open. Though it has happened a couple times even then.

I've been playing the SP as well. It is weird to play it as a lot of data is server-side so you will see stuff jump around and lag out like an MMO.

I have only ever been logged out once and that was due to me leaving the game idling for several hours. Fortunately the internet is steady out here.

The whole point of the always-on thing is to prevent all the modding and BS. Which I suppose is good for those who play online.

He was a cakewalk with the Monk's backstab/stun ability and constant health regeneration. I don't think my health dropped below 75% that whole fight. Very Happy

Currently playing a level 60 (max level) Monk.

I don't know if I'm sold on this game at high levels. After the patch I'm burning a lot on equipment repair, and the drops start to fall off about level 35. It's all auction house stuff after that as your needs will fast outpace what you can find from drops.
