I cannot find much information on this.

The price disparity between Koni Yellows and QA1 double adjustable struts for the front of my Camaro is negligible. Which would be better? Keep in mind I have already acquired Koni Yellows for the rear of my car, although I see no problem running different struts front and rear.

I know the QA1 is adjustable for both bump and rebound while I believe (but haven't been able to verify) that the Yellows are only single adjustable.

Do the QA1's have individual adjustment, or does the one adjustment change both compression and rebound?

Unless you can find valving data on the QA1, I would lead towards the Koni, there is a reason it is so popular, and so many auto-xers and racers use them.

I cannot find the valving data for the QA1 struts.

From what I've been researching, at least on 4th gens, everyone is recommending Konis over the QA1. They say the QA1 is more drag oriented, and when using it on a street car they need to be rebuilt often. The Koni Yellows are $20 cheaper than the QA1s.

The QA1 is adjustable for compression and rebound individually. Two seperate 18-way knobs.

I don't know enough about suspension, but I think you answered your own question. If you will be doing a lot of dragging then the qa1, if not then konis

Thanks, didn't even see that on there.

I still can't decide but I'm leaning towards the Konis still, simply because they're tried and tested and I can't find hardly any people using the QA1 on thirdgens. Plus the amount of adjustment seems confusing. Laughing

That logic reminds me of one of the reasons i ditched my holley carb. Sometimes more adjustments just enable you to screw things up that much worse! HAHA

I know it doesn't always work out that way, but I still believe in the KISS method (Keep It Simple, Stupid) Laughing

The first time I used my Mac computer I thought it was terrible it didn't have all the menus and options. Then I realized it was all entirely unnecessary when something works properly.

You might even say... well-engineered. Wink

I think I will go with Koni since that was my original plan anyway and I already know they're a hell of a good strut.

Gabe,
It has been a while since I did price comparisons on the Koni's but this place had one of the best prices I could find at the time. Things may have changed so just use this as another source when you are comparing.

Thank you Mike, have you ordered from them? Their price seems too low to be believable, so I am inclined to be wary.

Seems like a decent price to me.

That's $370 for two. The cheapest I've been able to find anywhere else is $545 for two.

I'm thinking based on the website design that that price may be quite old. I might call them and confirm it when I'm ready to order.

Wow, that is very cheap. I found another reliable source for rear Koni SA shocks (or so I've read on TGO) for $100 each but I haven't seen anywhere that less that $240 a piece for the front struts. I might just place an order soon.
