Pulled it today. Non World-Class. From 1987 TBI F-body. Mileage unknown. New bearings and synchros. Shifts smooth and easy but whines very loud in 5th. I also have the flywheel and clutch parts. I'm keeping the pedals, shifter and hydraulics.
Make an offer if you want it |

Temptation...
How did you know I was in the market for a new tranny??
It's more complicated than a straight swap...
But it's cooler...
But all the stupid thngs to rustle up, center console etc...
But a Camaro SHOULD be a 5 speed manual....
But it's not WC....
But so, neither will the budget 700r4 you put in there....
I hate temptation so very much. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

Do you ever make it back up to the Everett area? If Jim doesn't want it I will throw my hat in the ring. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

I'm in Poulsbo. The transmission is up in Chimacum but once somebody wants to look at it I'll drive the truck up there and bring it down to the house.
As far as the gears go I bet resetting the pre-load and a 5th gear set would go a long way. |

I like setting the pre-load to Zero like a T56. Then when it's warmed up you get about the .002" it calls for. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

How much are you looking to get for it? I'm on a pretty slim budget but let me know what you're thinking. |

I've got it down at the house now. I have the gearbox, bellhousing, inspection cover, and flywheel. |
