Where are you guys getting engines rebuilt here in the Puget Sound? I'm looking for an honest reputable shop, and hoping to find a price that's actually LESS than what it costs to actually buy a motor. Had a couple crazy quotes so far.
Last time I rebuilt an engine was in 2001, it was a 327 in my 63 Nova. $600 complete short block in Sumner. _________________ 1988 GTA, 5.3/T56 in the works. |

| When I had the 305 done at Westbay Auto Parts it was about $540 for clean, magnaflux, bore and hone for moly rings, and crank turned .010. It was another $60-80 to get the rods pressed. I put it together myself so I don't know how much it would have been for them to do it. |

i had bowtie performance do mine, pricey, but peace of mind is worth it to me lol i paid 900 to get the block cleaned bored .30 over, new rods, pistons rings bearings etc, everything but the cam actually. I just did a shortblock though not sure what a long block would cost. Luckily my heads came off a friends car that only put 35 miles on them since he had them redone then he ripped em off for vortechs and said take em or theyre getting trashed
if youre capable of bolting on heads and an intake id just get a short block worked _________________ If you expect a kick to the balls and get a slap to the face its still a victory
