Looking around online and nothing looks very cheap. My arm is getting tired of rolling down the windows.. And my passenger lock is frozen so it'd be nice to have electric locks. And yes a new passenger lock is on the list. Lol

If you are going to paint then just swap doors.

If not then buy the doors and gut them at your leisure.

Camaro doors should be dirt cheap. I scrapped four power doors because I could not give them away.

Or you could man up and use the crank.

Not going to paint. So probably just buying power doors would be the best way to go. Though the trouble with that is isn't there a power box that goes with the locks? And remotes. I think I'd have trouble finding everything wouldnt I?

I think I have a pair of power regulators, but only the motor for one of them. I'll have to take a look in the garage.

Do not use a stock harness for the windows. A blind retarded monkey could build a better one than GM did. Do it right with relays.

For the locks you can use the factory harness since GM didn't do to bad with that.

Saw you said remotes. Thirdgens never had keyless entry, so don't go barking up the wrong tree. They're only power locks.

Want to umlcok the car without walking over to it. Wants to roll down the windows without cranking... used to have to crank to adjust the timing and throttle... f**k used to have to crank just to get it started.

But yeah, buy regulators, motors, solenoids, and harness, then build what you want. Hell, build a remote, popper, why not?

Yeah, there's nothing precluding you from buying window motors/regulators and lock solenoids and switches then wiring it all up with your own relay harness and a fancy-shmancy keyless entry/alarm that can roll the windows up for you, unlock the doors, make annoying chirps, anything you want.

for some reason, i have 2 motors for the locks. and wiring harness. the only thing i didnt have was the center control box. but it would be nice to have keyless entry. can i use the wiring harness and motors with a different control box meant for keyless entry? There's a kit you can buy on ebay with 4 motors (why you need 4 i dont know) and a center control box. but what i thought was weird, is theres switches in my door for up and down, but all thats electric was the power locks. but no control box to go with it. -.^ and as for the power windows, all the kits im looking at are $200+. can someone let me know if they have power window kits laying around? or just power doors in general ill take those off your hands.

There is no "box" just a couple relays between the solenoids and the switches.

If you have switches in the door you probably have solenoids in the door. Have you pulled the panel off to check?

The switches in the door are the lock switches. It sounds like your car had power locks at some time. If so, you just need to get them working, then buy a keyless entry kit with NO solenoids. Then you can wire that in to control the factory power locks.

As far as power windows go, those switches would go in the center console if you had them. Since you dont, all you need is two power regulators and two power motors from the junkyard or a car someone is parting out. Then you can wire up your own power window circuit with relays.

Don't buy complete doors just for power windows. That's definitely the hard way.

No Im not swapping doors. I just figured swapping the internals would be easier than just buying the internals. Someone please explain the locks. I have the solenoids and the wiring harness. And the switches.
