You referring to this?
For the new members who may try to register. We are having a lot of issues with BOT registrations. I have been deleting a lot of accounts. If you sign up, and do not receive a confirmation e-mail. Please try to register again. Normally the thing that I look for, is a CITY located in the NW. If you put down the city you live in, that will really make sure that I get your account activated.
If you still have problems, feel free to contact me via e-mail, at dewey316 "at" gmail "dot" com.
I used to have an account on here but it disappeared: must have been because of the above problems. I don't need to prove who I am as half a dozen members on here have already met me. |

Not at all. Directly after you posted we had a robo-post. Not your doing at all, just seemed a funny coincidence. I'm sure John will be along shortly to send them back to Nigeria. |

They can't. It appears that John already deleted that account.

I took a serious look at using the 3rd gen fuse block in order to keep from making an underhood electrical center. I've got a schematic drawn up for myself but I don't think you guys are interested in another diagram. Basically, I've decided I'm not using the 3rd gen fuse block for most engine functions because the 3rd gens are known for large voltage drop in harness. I want everything running to full potential, especially injectors and coils. Right or wrong, I'm making a full underhood electrical center for the engine.
One of my buddies at work made a couple minor suggestions that I've updated in the schematics I posted earlier. |

I would love to, just need to pick up the engine cheap. The guy I get the 500.00 dollar truck deals from is trying to spread the deals around the company. The last one I got was in really good condition and he knew it and he knows what I plan to do with the next one. I guess the upside of waiting on the truck is that they have several 07's with 6.0 litres that are getting close to retiring. |

I took the clutch pedal out today to do the 4th gen master cylinder adaption.
Removing the pedal assembly seems like a job for a masochist. I ended up just pulling out the cross-pin that the pedals rotate on, and then dropped out only the clutch pedal. Now I need to ponder how I'm going to modify or change the pin to accept the Tick cylinder rod. More on that later. |

Pedal assembly is five bolts, Jon. Easy job. You just gotta take the right sutff out of the car first.
Does the Tick rod not use the same pivot stud as all the Chevy stuff did? |

Same rod third to fourth, dude. Only thing that changed was the position of the pivot point. |

Ya, the thirdgen pivot pin is too fat and too short.
I have a set of 4th gen pedals. Just trying to decide if I'm modifying my original pedal or installing the 4th gen. |

Does the 4th gen clutch pedal have a shorter travel at the foot? If so, I would probably use it. |

Got a pic of the two pivots? I just went out to the shop and apparently I sold all my thirdgen pedals but I would f***ing swear they had the exact same pivot, just in a different spot.
FWIW I highly recommend the fourthgen pedals. The clutch pedal is farther to the left and lower. |

3rd gen on right, 4th gen on left. You can see the 3rd gen is shorter. In the other picture the caliper is over the 4th gen pin but still at size of 3rd gen pin. Just a fun fact: If you think that caliper looks old.... it is. It belonged to my grandpa and is about 100 years old.
So I think I need to take some memory pills. I just remembered the 4th gen pedals I have came out of a 3rd gen. It's already been modified to fit. I would be stupid to not use them! Also removes any doubt whether the rod travel is correct for proper clutch work. Guess I'll be tearing apart the dash again!

So wait, two different pins, two differnet pivots, for masters of differnt piston diameters. The question is, at the end of the day, is there actually a difference between end result, or is this just a pedal feel thing?!?
Or in other words... with the right hydrolic lines, could a thirdgen master work with a LS style hyrdrolic TOB? Or would that be too easy, and instead a full on pedal swap and master swap is the route you going instead. |

So now I'm intrigued. I had fourthgen pedals and a thirdgen master hooked up and working fine with the fourth gen clip and bushing.
Now I need to get the last set of thirdgen pedals and hydros I had for some measurements... Think I sold them to Billy. |
