Cool beans. I've had a set of those exact ones (but two fewer ) sitting in a rail on the shelf for a year or two now. |

Since I probably won't have a factory hood latch anymore... _________________

The upper side of a set of flush-mount locking hood pins.
You can see one of the lower pieces in the background of the picture. |

Think about what he's building, Jon. Think about a large aluminum thing that might go where the hood latch is.
Ian I am curious how you like those. I should be able to keep my hood latch due to massive underhood space in front of the veesix but you know I am a sucker for some weight reduction. |

Might make more room for an intercooler too. Couldn't you lose the support bar if you do that? Even though I know we already had plans for that. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Would water intercooler bypass all this trouble? |

An AWIC (air-to-water intercooler) can use a smaller radiator than a regular intercooler, but you do still need to find somewhere for an additional radiator. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Actually, I think I'm dumping the top of the radiator forward a ton and THAT'S what is going to make the hood latch a difficult proposition. The intercooler should be able to fit down in front of it but I don't know with how thick it is.

More plumbing than it's worth (to me) on a daily driver... |

@ Jon: For a daily driver you want an air-to-air charge cooler anyhow so it wont heat soak.
Air-to-water is for drag guys who want to be able to be in boost while the car isn't moving yet and who are only in boost for a few seconds at a time.
@ Ian: Is that to run a front and center turbo setup? |

Is that a fixed reservoir or is that just where the divorced unit is mounted?
Either way maybe a PS cooler in your future. |
