http://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-classifieds/1491316-watts-link-93-02-f-body.html

For some reason I thought we had an old thread on fays2 coming out with their watts link kit for the thirdgen and I was going to bump that thread instead of making a new one but I didn't find it in 3 pages when I searched for "watts link" ADD got the better of me and I gave up. Laughing

Anyway, Looks like an inexpensive way for someone to ditch the panhard bar if they so chose. Very Happy Shipping will get you though...

very cool. Dialing in a watts link could be a PITA though on our cars. Setting one up on a F**d 9" is nice, because you can mount the center to the housing, and have the ends frame mount. Doing it that way, would take some time and effort to get right, since the IC moves in relation to the axle.

Like mentioned in the thread, that doesnt look like a true Fays.

I also remember Dean mentioning years ago when it first came out that it is not a true watts link because of what Dewey mentioned. But none the less, Ive been wanting one. But cant right now.

Funny.

RX7 with solid axle have a watts link. Guys that get heavy into road racing and auto cross.... ditch it for a pan hard.

Food for thought.

Yeah, it's definitely not a Fays2 but it's along the same lines. And yeah, I remember Dean bringing up the fact this is considered a mumford link? vs the watts link because it's essentially mounted "backwards".

Grass is greener...? What's the motive behind that?

Its kinda between both. A mumford has another pivot bar in it plus a connector link. If that doesnt make sense, it has 5 pieces that pivot n link.

weight is my guess. Panhard isn't so bad, as long as you don't have big suspension movement. If you have some sort of adjustable bracket to set the IC, the weight savings over a watts are nice.

Guys say the ass end is more predictable and controllable with the panhard under those extreme conditions. Prior to that, no difference.
