So I'm in the market for a 4 cylinder car/truck that I can drive while tearing apart my camaro. My dads friend had a really nice mazda B2300 he was gonna sell me for 1500 but he flaked. So I'm looking for a good dd that gets good gas mileage in that price range. Let me know if you guys have anything or know anybody who does. Thanks.

I don't have anything, but I have had a 92 nissan sentra (B13, 40mpg 5-sp)) and an 84 bmw 325e (e30, 30mpg 5 sp). Both of which I consider good, easy to find, cheap commuter cars. I prefer the e30, of course.

I'm appreciating the irony of buying a commuter so that he can take apart the commuter he already owns.

But I agree that if you're going to be a car-ruiner like us you need to have redundancy. Wink

It really gets crazy when you have 3 toy cars and no commuter however.
