While I'm replacing my cam I would like to swap to full roller rockers. I have guide plates and my spring retainers come very close to the top of the valve stem, so I have to use non-aligning.

I cant seem to find proform non-self aligning. I see some summitracing g6937-16, and some scorpion scp1037bc. Anyone have any feedback on these?

Checkout Jeg's rockers too. I have a set in my truck and they appear to be a nice quality piece with a decent price.

As a bonus they're US made.

BS the non self aligning are right at the top. Do you mean that they dont list them as "center bolt"? then ya.. they're just listed as sb chevy. They fit.

If you look the only difference is the roller has edges on it.

For an added bit of assurance, if you click fit applications you'll get a stupid list with very little on it.. LOL but it does say 99 1/2 ton truck and suburban. Both of which will be centerbolt.

are you looking at part 20100? If so, I didnt look at that one because it wasnt listed as narrow body.

Also doesnt say its non-self-align. It really doesnt give anything for specs.

Ya, thats them. They're all non self aligning unless they say they are. You can also check out the pics.. and check out the vehicles they fit. They do say they'll fit late 90s vortec trucks which are centerbolt. Not sure what else you need, not like they're going to give you an engineering diagram.

I'm running the self aligning ones myself with centerbolt heads. So I cant give first hand experience on the non ones. Call them and find out what they say for your app.

I contacted jegs to verify this info... that they were narrow body and non-self align. He directed me to some others that when I pulled up instantly appeared to be self align.

I guess I will just get some cranes or comps that I trust and know good n well say the specs I need.

Please don't use guideplates if you get self aligning rockers.....

All I'm finding is self-align in the cheap stuff, and I physically can NOT use self align. My spring retainers are to high on the valve stem and will hit.

Wow, Jegs responded back saying that all centerbolt heads use self-aligning.

Guess this guy doesnt realize things get modified and if I'm asking for a specific combo, there may be a reason why.

Back to summit and order the expensive stuff.

What I found real odd with my tpi heads.. not only did they originally have self aligning rockers, but they still had pushrod slots as well. Since then i've seen several that way.

Starting new thread to put all my valve train questions in one thread.
