Does "narrowed" in this case mean the rear end has been modified to have shorter axle tubes as well as shorter axles? if not than what does it indicate?

You have to change the length of the tube and the shaft the same amount, Tony. Laughing

It's done on drag cars to tuck huge wheels up under the bodywork.

Yeah I guess I was not clear. I knew you would have to do both equally, just unsure of the terminology.

Ahh yeah, I can see now what you meant. Laughing

FWIW that's a very nice car and a good price for what you are getting. I'd buy it if I was the type of guy who bought not terrible things.

I really need to stop looking at craigslist. There is just too much horrible stuff for cheap:

710 with Mopar-worthy rust holes:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/cto/4640212078.html

A frikken BiTurbo that is (of course) broken down:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/cto/4638947595.html

A LUV diesel that is (of course) broken down:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/4630205755.html

A Dodge Dart that is (of course) still workable:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/4611175008.html

My Pappy said "son you're gonna drive me to drinkin'":
http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/cto/4633889016.html

Die in style:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/4630977701.html

You know how they say a picture is worth a thousand words? This ad proves that point:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/cto/4635504851.html

'59 Edsel, one of the best looking cars ever made:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/cto/4638809299.html

Look on the bright side, a piano hasn't fallen on it yet:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/4636466153.html

That's all I've got, dudes. Don't go to craigslist. It is a terrible place full of terrible (cheap) things. Laughing

Hmm.. corvair and maserati had me thinking. Good thing the corvair is a coupe that way I can just keep thinking.

They sure didn't get alot of miles out of the biturbo.

Haha... just think how many times that BiTurbo had to be serviced just to make that many miles.

God those things were piles. Especially those early ones with the blow-through carb and air/water intercooling.

Honestly, I think the Dart is the best buy. It is known to be a good reliable motor, and the rust seems minimal for a Mopar.

Too many doors and not odd enough to make up for it. Hard to tell but the rusty floors in the vair don't look all that bad in the pics.

The phone number in the listing was for a mechanics shop. I'm guessing the entire thing was a joke to drum up business.

This one could be a killer deal. Good looking yellow 5-speed '85 IROC. It's very nearly the holy grail of IROCs if it's an L69 car... I wish I was in a position to buy it!

nice looking, but I'd need to buy my interior from the berli back, before I'd pay anything close to $4500 bucks.

A rare car and in good shape, but it is the worst color the IROC ever came in. It's a shame, honestly.
