Driving Ketchup car would be a nightmare. Far too controversial a topic. Constant problem with people arguing is it "Ketchup" or "Catsup". The nightmare would never end. |

I could understand if the ketchup car had like an actual Heinz logo on it or something. But that is just weird... |

Car has a lost tittle..... That could be fun for the next owner. No tittle, does not run, I bet he would take $500. |

Also, Could be a 1986 based on the hatch. Of course it could be an 85 with a swapped hatch. |

I showed it to Jen, she seemed real interested, so I called. She is holding it for a buyer, but has not sold it yet. Just in case anyone was interested. |

Sounds like a lien to me.
Good luck to whatever sucker buys it. |

You could, of course, satisfy the lien and the title would be clean. The issue is that they are almost certainly very upside down in it.
Predatory lending feeds this kind of thing. You have a vehicle that can't be fixed, can't be scrapped and can't be legally owned without a ridiculous payout. Now it will go to the chop shop and then be gray-market scrapped.
Yay for 'Murica. |

Title held by finance company....Big red flag. I'd be curious how much is owed to release the title.
 That's the real price of the car. |

Indeed.
That car is the lap of luxury compared to the one I snagged the mirrors off of. Hatch defrost and wiper, an FM receiver, rear speakers and even a veesix!
Also this...
Quote: | I got from charity auction |
...means someone thought so little of that car that they gave it away to VofA or whatever, and now this person is trying to flip it for about twice what it's worth. So craigslist continues to be craigslist.
That being an early 2.8 also means that 60K is the service life of the engine. Any miles that the new owner gets are on borrowed time before the bearings let go. |

Pet peeve... how can it be a 1 owner if it was bought from a charity auction? To me that makes him at least the 3d owner. |

Yeah.. My car WAS a "one owner" car at one point too. In fact it still is. I bought it brand new 2 years before I was born! |

He "sprayed it clean" according to the long and halting paragraph that is his ad.
Bottom line: no t-tops, no sale. |
