Yup been there lol just pop the panel off drill the rivet and rivet the new one in takes like 10 mins

The pin that the pad swivels on wore out twice. It got a groove worn in it from constant rotation, and the pin eventually broke in half and the pad fell off.

They break in such a weird place. I've broken 2 so far and my current one feels really flexible.

Haha, yep the gas pedal pad fell off long ago. Car actually isn't running as well as I'd like, I'm chasing an o2 code right now.
Does anyone have an extra handle around? The junk yards around here suck big time.

So, after looking at the build of this thing I am thinking their is more to the story...You sure it just snapped during a typical uneventfull door opening event?

That's what happened to me, it confused the hell out of me and what's sad is when it broke off it clicked "wow I just snapped this thing off" and I still reached for it every single time, including right after tossing it in my passenger seat lol
