Probably an older guy whose not too CL savy or maybe he is calculating over 20 years of "storage costs"? And he's not an idiot for posting that amount. Whoever would pay that is. _________________

I wouldn't even pay $200 for 15x7 z28 wheels. I always think of those as freebies. Maybe for IROC's. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S

Well that's depressing. I was hoping to get $75 for my set of four, with shitty tires. |

| You'll get that easy. They're nearly worth that in scrap aluminum. |

| That's a nice car if it looks as good as the pics. Why is it everytime a nice low mile car shows up the same crowd bashes on it? I got news for you, the newest 3rd gen is going to be 20 years old next year, there isn't a lot of low mile originals out there, that's why I'm just storing a 70,000 mile 86 IROC. It will be worth putting the money in it soon enough. |

| That is a nice car (minus those crappy truck rims) but it's not worth 5 G's. It's been for sale for a few months now so obviously the public agrees with me. |

I think it already has , but I agree; we shouldn't be judging people unless we know their circumstances. Poking a little fun maybe, but calling people names might come back to bite us in the butt, especially if we get "new" members who are looking to sell their car and they happen to see their CL/Ebay ad already posted on here. _________________

I think 5k is a little on the high end of the pricing curve, but with the way the used car market has been lately AND the upward trend in thirdgen prices in general, I don't think this guy is too far off the mark if his original owner car is still minty fresh and in good shape. It would, however, probably be worth more if he stuck those original wheels back on it with some new rubber. If I was in the market for a car like that, I'd probably go see him with 40 hundred dollar bills and see if I could get him to let it go. And if I could do that, I would have gotten a fair deal. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56
