So I bought a different intake for my pontiac off of ebay awhile ago. Turned out to be cracked, got some of my money back and had it repaired. It's a holley street dominator. Supposedly my stock cast iron intake actually flows better then this single plane.. I dont really see how since its basically wide open. I mean you can actually see clear through to a port on the other side! So I'm doing some port matching and some clean up work. At the very least it will be lighter!
Piktars.
I'm hoping this will do something anyway. And it's one of the few manifolds that will actually fit under my formula hood. It almost looks to be shorter then the stock dual plane even. |

| I was considering a Street Dominator before I bought the Performer RPM. Those things dyno like a small dual-plane, make best power before 5K. Craziness. |

That fits perfectly with pontiac's rpm range. Just read about a combo similar to mine and he said he gained 3 tenths over a performer with one of these. One can only hope! As Paul used to quote "engine's dont read books" and i'm hoping that they dont always follow conventional wisdom either. I see alot of pontiac guys running torker 1 and 2s.. And these SD manifolds are usually priced higher. Must be a reason. On a chevy it would be very odd to run a single plane on a motor that is meant to redline at 5500, but thats what they seem to do on pontiacs.
I think the designer of this intake is actually a member on Performance Years. If i've got my story straight, it was designed for a pontiac and then transferred over to other brands.
In any case, I'll have less then $100 shipping, repair, and all into this. I guess its worth a try. |

| After port matching I don't see much reason to port the rest. Just ground into the port a couple inches. Man the ports were off though! And they were smaller at the flange then just inside. Almost had a lip. |
