so i'm having a hell of a time making a decision on wheels for mynew camaro.. i have wheels, but they all need something to make them go on the car lol
heres my options:
1) CCW classics 18x11 front 18x12 rear. black w/polish lip
2) HRE 540R's in stock C5 Z06 sizes and offsets 100% polished
3) TT2's 17x8 front 17x11 rear
but heres my issue's:
the CCW's will need 1 1/4" spacers front, and 1" spacer rear, not a huge ordeal, but still not ready to install..
the HRE's will need 4 2" spacers, again, not a huge deal, but again, not ready to bolt on...
the TT2's the rears are ready to bolt on with 315/35 DR's already on them, but i still need front tires..
they are all beautiful wheels IMO but i can't decide which set to invest the $$$ into and put on the car.
help me out here guys! _________________ 1992 Camaro 1LE Z28 |

No question for me, CCWs.
Staggered 17/18s make the front wheels look puny and out of place on a thirdgen. The TT2s are so common it's not even funny. Both are excellent wheels but out of all three the CCWs win hands down.
Plus they can fit the biggest, baddest rubber on them. _________________

If money is no object, check out this company. http://www.fikse.com/2010/spokes.html
They are local to the PNW and make some of the lightest rims on the market. |

Fikse used to be based out of Auburn or Kent or something, right? Then they just up and tanked one day. Later bought out by Kodiak wheels out of Canuckistan I believe. Are they still producing wheels around here? |

Fikse is Swedish. Or Finish. Or Nordic of some kind. However, their website says Kent. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

They were manufacturing rims in the PNW a couple of years ago, not sure about today? |

CCW for sure... might check and see what a new center section with the correct spacing would cost.

Do you change the center or just get new hoops?
TT2 is so common and over used. I vote HRE or CCW. |

Probably depends on how much lip you want or how much brake clearance you need. |

Ahhh! Nice! They only list one wheel that will fit a 3rdgen though. I am kinda digging that front spoiler on the '82-'84 Z28!

I totally agree with Aaron. That chin spoiler is hideous. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

If you two had a gram of taste between you I would take your opinions into consideration. |

Gabe and I are over here in Jon's style-less corner.

This is the "good style" corner and John is not invited.
I mean, that spoiler doesn't even fit the lines of the car at all! It's all funky looking! _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56
