Car is running, I can come to you. I can bring beer or whatever. Friday and Sunday are good, Saturday is not.

Nothing. I need to read not write. Wink

Z24 is stalling when coming to a stop. Will not throw codes. I want to datalog it while it does it to see if anything goes out of whack immediately prior.

I think I still have the obd1>serial cable at the tacoma house where alex is at. If you want to stop by I'm sure he'd let you dig through the garage shelves. You have a laptop? (if not I'm coming down sat night)

I have cable and laptop. If you come up here Friday evening at or after 6PM I will be here. Text me if you want, I will be at work.

EDIT: Scratch that, it looks like I'm leaving town right after work. Sad I would help if I could, man. Then you could take the cable to John at some point, who still needs it.

So I umm... fixed it? Shrug

Here's the deal, clutch was shot and the car had a slight miss at idle. Installed new clutch and new plug wires (plugs had been done recently).

Immediately after I did that (like the first test drive) it started stalling at complete stops. Would not stall when cruising in neutral. Would not stall at every stop. Would often restart and stay running but sometimes would not idle at all. Sometimes had surging idle for a bit. Ran fantastic everywhere else.

Today I did the normal check of stuff (vacuum, loose wires, cleaned IAC, ect.). Went to check minimum air and found that the car would not idle with the IAC unplugged. Checked the throttle stop and the cap removed and screw backed almost all the way out. Surprised

With the IAC still unplugged I ran the stop screw back in till the car would idle (but still very low RPM). Plugged it back in, unhooked the battery and it has not stalled since.

I am unsure if that was the exact problem, or if I band-aided it. Also unsure if it was something I did that uncovered this problem. Maybe I unknowingly fixed a vacuum leak or something?

If the screw backed out, that'd do it. IAC can only allow so much air....
