1991 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

I picked this thing up last Tuesday. Its a 1991 Camaro Z28 hardtop with an LB9 and WCT5 with 131k miles.
has factory dual cats
had G92 option but now has richmond 3.73's
had posi but it seems a little worn
Repainted
20% tint (approximately)
Corvette Y2K wheels 17x8.5 and 18x9.5 with Falken FK452's 245/45/17 and 275/40/18
Edelbrock Aluminum high flow water pump
160* thermostat
Short throw shifter (I think B&M)
Cat back exhaust (unknown)
PBR rear disc brakes
New Accel 19 lb/hr injectors
Sub box for rear cargo well for 2 10" subs
There's not a squeak or rattle in the car and the doors even close perfectly overall the cars in really nice shape. There's a few things that I can nitpick and most issues will be resolved soon. The suspension is fairly shot, I'll be replacing it all with the Ground Control/KYB setup I had in my '85. Steering is a little sloppy, but I will be replacing the steering box and center link with the ones from my '85 as well and will get a bump steer kit. There's no stereo in it but I have a mostly a whole system that I got from Al awhile back that I'll install. The drivers seat a a small tear on the side bolster so I'm going to look around for some Recaro LS's and try to source the adapter brackets. Also the paint has too much orange peel for me to like it. I'm going to see if I can get someone to do a complete wet sand/clay bar/polish/wax.
Overall this is exactly the third gen I've wanted for years. The '91/'92 Z28's are by far my favorite and I love them in black _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S

I'm definitely going to miss t-tops but I can't get my ideal set up (350/T5/t-top) so I had to sacrifice somewhere. Pics will come soon... _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S

Don't look now dude, but there's a Ginger sneaking around your car.
Sharp looking ride. Black is never the wrong choice on a thirdgen, and therefore it is always the right choice!
You keeping the biplane wing on it? |

I like it. Not a big fan of those wheels, I think the 10-spoke SS wheels would look better, but looks to be in great shape. Nice choice! |

Super sexy! That thing looks sharp! I wish I was up north, I'd take a set of wheels off your hands. What's going on with the lt1 now? Has it been abandoned?

I'm not a huge fan of Y2K's or even staggered diameters for that matter, but they just seem to flow pretty well with this car. I'll run these until the tires are shot then look for something else and put this set up for sale. I'm keeping my SS wheels too for autocross since I already have to right size tires on those. I'm going to be usig this to compete in the Street Touring Unlimited class.
And yes I'm keeping the wing, one of my favorite parts of the '91-'92 Z28's.
As for the LT1 project, it'll most likely be sold off or parted out. Unless I can find somewhere else to slap it together bare bones style and make it a drag only car. There was just way to many little things on that car that were in not so good shape. It would have nickel and dimed me to death to bring it up to the level of the '91. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S

I love this car, but it had one thing that I just hated about it... Wheel gap So I ripped the Ground Control/KYB set up out of the '85 and threw it on this one. Pics tomorrow. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S

So like I said, I have a problem driving a car with 4x4 status. So I decided to raid the '85 for some parts...
So I ended up with this stuff...
I was making good time so I decided to rip some crap off the '91 as well...
It a two step process to get the car back down...
Ahh, much better
