...or something like that. F**k, I don't know. Rolling Eyes

I'll bet you guys thought I was joking about the Grecian mythos, but no, hell no, I never joke.

Either way, this is a thing that actually happened:

Yes, this is a thing that I spent money on. Real money, mind you, not Monopoly money:

Which would have been more appropriate I think, given the color scheme:

Note the hatch salvaged from poor Bondo Bucket. The one in this car had been busted completely out. Did that last night before my brother left:

Also, if you were curious how not to do a rear-mount battery, this is it:

Idiots:

And some bonus pics live from the shop! You see it as I screw it up. Wink

I feel better already:

I then decided I should rechristen her: Laughing so hard it hurts

I only found one spot on the car I didn't like, but decided to buy it anyway. The first thing I did this morning was knock it down:

Their bondo went as far out as I sanded, but it's not really deflected, so I'm not sure why they feathered it out so far. I think this area could have been spot puttied and shot over (which is probably what will happen. Either way I need to go buy some more dust masks and get back to work. Very Happy

Somebody had dreams of grandeur with that thing. 2.8L with battery relocated to back.... extra toggle switches on the console.... the window sticker. Laughing

Now, what are YOUR plans with this car? Smile

Well, whatever makes people happy...

Still doing black or are you going to keep the creamy 80s yeller? Very Happy

We should get our cars together, it'd be like a faded McDs fry box.

Indeed they did. Somebody wanted a pimpin' cruiser. He had a nice stereo in it but I gave it back to the guy in exchange for $120 off the asking price.

Dude, my brother followed me back in his vert in case something fell off on the way back, you should have seen the stares we got. Laughing

Mike, your insight is an inspiration to us all. Laughing

I found metal consistently all over the car, so I think the damage is only in that one spot. It will need a new passenger door and driver fender, but that's no big deal.

I sanded for awhile, but then got bored of that and decided to do something about the smell. It was sort of a cigarettes and bad cologne mixed with swamp stench aroma. So I fixed that but good:

I was pretty shocked at the near-complete lack of rust in the floor, specially considering how wet the underpad was. Compare and contrast: Laughing

I figured the slow cranking problem I was having was due to the lame-brained rear mount battery, and I was right:

Yes, that was 8-gauge amplifier wire feeding the entire car! Shocked

Very short RPO list:

More to come!!!

That looks somehow familiar, though not for the same purpose Laughing

That's Yellow Gold code WA8740 to you, John.

Yes. Very basic options. Multi-speed wipers, defrost hatch, hatch popper, nicer seats, t-tops, spoiler, tape deck, that's about it. Has a delete for the cruise control listed as well. Laughing

When mine was wrecked I almost replaced it with a Jamaican Yellow bird. Just couldn't do it.

You haven't answered if you're keeping the color so I'll take that as a yes. Very Happy

My Sport Coupe was more stripped than that... You got all the luxury. Hatch pop? Spoiler? Pshh.

Looks a little less rusty than the other one. Laughing How's the t-top bar?

Needs to be replaced. The rest of the channel is very good, however.
