I just got the car running again, after installing caster camber plates and doing some other upgrades. I am planning on getting the car aligned tomorrow. I did a little research I think I want to run -1.0* camber and 5*-6* degrees of caster. Would these specs stop the excessive wear on the outside of the tire?

That sounds about what I set mine at just recently. For some reason I'm thinking I ran it closer -1.5* camber though?. However, the outer tire wear is typically from toe problems.

Yeah, what Ian said... check your toe, you will probably want a hair of toe-in. Depending on your suspension you may not need a full -1* of camber either, I am down to -0.4* now, as I found that for the most part I just don't need that much.

Caster looks good, remember for normal road use, give one side about .5* more to compensate for the road crown.

Of course now that I have all the old leaks fixed, the oil pan gasket starts making a mess. Serves me right for using a dented up pan.

Keep in mind, the numbers on the plate don't always coincide with the actual measurement of your wheel. I'd get specs from an alignment shop, and then look at what the plate says. I bet they don't match.

I can't say I've seen plates out there with measurements on them? My Founders mounts don't.

You only need as much camber as you have body roll. I think the factory spec for toe in is between 1/32 to 3/32 of an inch. Not much. And there is so much slop where the strut bolts to the spindle you may want to ignore any camber plate markings. Also be aware that adjusting camber will affect your toe, so don't just add more without examining your toe again. I think the spec's you are going to should be fine and close to stock. Excessive toe has more to do with tire wear than camber.
