The car is in the shot, and it's mostly visible, so it's not the worst CL pic I've ever seen.

If you read farther into the ad you'll see the car is in hawk so that would explain the lack of further photography on his part.

Also, why are crappy base-model Mustangs worth so much money? My Dad once described the Mustang as a "Dodge Dart" when it came to fit and finish.

I feel bad for the guy, wonder how he plans to "show" the car to a perspective buyer?

I had freinds in HS that had Mustangs and one who had a 69 Couger. They are POS if you ask me. The only mustangs that were put together decently were the fastbacks. Even those were rattle traps, but they held resale value alot better. When I shopped for my first car back in 1985 You could pick up a car similar to the one in the crappy pic for about 1500.00. The only Camaro or Firebird you could find for that price was a clapped out POS mid 70's car. 60's era F bodies were starting at 6K for a driver. 70 - 73's were starting at 4K.

A buddy told me about a 69 Z28 for 3K. It was totaled, blown engine, Muncie was long gone, interior was shot and the rearend had been swapped for a 10 bolt.
