Also found on LSx Nation. Local guy is selling the brakes of a 2001 Z06 for 400.00 OBO.

Im not sure if these can be made to work on a 3rd gen?

http://lsxnation.net/showthread.php?13780-C5-Z06-Brakes-complete

400.00 seems like a good deal?

I don't think that would be an upgrade, well not for the front. Those front rotors are the same size as mine, the ones I bought from Ian when he upgraded his fronts.

Yep, that would be a downgrade for Ian. Those are the brakes I just put on my car, C5 Z06. 13" rotor 1.25" thickness dual piston floating PBR caliper

me likey....only even if I bought those, I'm still gonna be a few bills in for bigger wheels/tires.

the 2001 sucked up what I had saved up for my wheel/brake fund by the hydraulics going south on me....(rickafrigginfraggin..)

Is there any difference between the C5/Z06 brakes and the standard C5 brakes, other than the color of the caliper?

No, there is absolutely no difference aside from the red powdercoating. Wink

Some say the Z06 stuff was pressure cast vs drip casting? I only ever remember hearing about this back when the z06 came out, never again.

With some quick internet research apparently all C5 calipers are pressure cast. Lots of people saying the only difference is the color. Confused
