Well, been doing some serious thinkin.
Got the new quarter panel and gas tank from Brandon at cows. Just picked up the tank straps, and an exhaust from pick and pull today. So now all she needs is the bodywork done, and the brakes/suspension checked/gone over.
Now my GTA needs her front end redone as well, and thats going to be about 500 for the components but for that much i can get the gold bird on the road.
What you guys think? Fix the front end on the GTA and make her perfect?
Or do I try to get my second gen on the road this summer? _________________ 1987 - Trans am GTA, hooker headers, Borla catback, Cat delete, CAI, 9.6 @ 75mph 1/8mile

I agree with Tony, unless the front end of the GTA is a safety issue, then take care of that. _________________ 92 Camaro

Ya the GTA is to the point now where Im not going to be driving her, just put her on the back burner. But I have the charger for a daily, and since I haven't done any real mods this year I dont mind if I dont do that many drags this year.
I just get jealous when I see other people rolling around in their 2nd gens I want mine, and she is getting reasonably close.
In any event, Im going to put the exhaust/tank in the gold car today. See if I can get her started and see how she sounds If I do Ill post up a video _________________ 1987 - Trans am GTA, hooker headers, Borla catback, Cat delete, CAI, 9.6 @ 75mph 1/8mile

What does the GTA need for front end work?
I say work on the gold car, you can still put day permits on the GTA as long as the front end isn't to wore out. |

Needs everything, Ball joints, tie rods, center link, idler, bushings, struts and want to do springs after as well. She has a little bit of play in all the joints, and the struts are just old. (Still have to put those rear ones in I got from you)
And didnt get anything done on the gold bird today lol, helped a girlfriend with her exhaust. The muffler was 1/2 missing from rot lol, now her car is all quiet. And since I have hockey games for the next 2 days, I doubt Ill get much done on the old girl _________________ 1987 - Trans am GTA, hooker headers, Borla catback, Cat delete, CAI, 9.6 @ 75mph 1/8mile
